La Jolla Renaissance Singers will perform a program of unaccompanied (a cappella) vocal music from the Renaissance era, celebrating simple pleasures, life, and living. The program should last for about 1 hour.
We will include a number of pieces by William Byrd (c 1540 – 1623) in honor of this year’s 400th anniversary of the year of his death. Other well-known composers, some of whose music will be included, are Purcell, Monteverdi, Janequin, and Weelkes. We hope you will be able to join us!
